All India Art Olympiad for children by Small Hand

 

‘Small Hand Big Art’ is an initiative to promote children’s art and to encourage children to take up art as a financially rewarding passion. The launching pad of the initiative is Art Olympiad - a nationwide art competition that will help to identify and recognize budding artists in the age group of 5-15 years

 

Last Date for Submission : 31^st December 2013

Age Group: 5 to 15 years

. 

 These young artists will then be mentored by senior artists and provided a platform to showcase their work at leading art galleries in India and also in an annual coffee table book featuring the top 100 budding artists besides help in merchandising their work as well.

• There are 4 category of participants based on age - (5-7, 8-10, 11-13 and 14-15 years). 
•  Applicants are required to submit any original art work on A4 paper (upto 3 entries per child) along with a fee of Rs 100 per entry.
• The top 25 winners in each category get Rs 3000 cash award and a certificate of merit. 
•  The top 10 winners of the 11- 15 years categories get sponsored to participate in week long art workshop in some of the most prestigious and leading fine art institutes of India.
•  All winners get an opportunity to meet prominent artists for guidance.
• Last Date for sending entry forms 31st December 2013.

Participation Rules
 
Step 1: Make an Art Work of your choice on A4 size (11.7 x 8.3 in) paper
Step 2: Parent / Guardian of budding artist to fill out Application Form and signs Terms and Conditions
Step 3: Issue a cheque for Rs 100 for each Art Work submitted – subject to maximum of 3 (Rs 300) per applicant
Step 3: Write Name of budding Artists at the back of Art Work submitted
Step 4: Post the Art work, completed Application Form and Entry Fee cheque to following  address

1. Children can choose any theme of their choice for the Art Work
2. Multiple Art entries can be submitted by same applicant under one form, subject to maximum of 3 Art Work submitted by each Artist
3. Administrative fees of Rs 125 per Art Work to be paid while submitting the Art Olympiad form, e.g. for 3 Art Work submitted, a sum of Rs 375 has to be sent
4. Payment for Entry fee is to be made through cheque or Internet Bank Transfer.
5. In case of multiple Art Work being received under one form, if entry fees sent is insufficient, the organizers will randomly pick number of entries that match the fees sent.
6. Name of Artist, to be written in BOLD at the back of Art Work submitted to organizers of Art OlympiadTM
7. Art Work should be on A4 size Paper (11.7 x 8.3 in) only
8. Art Work will be judged by a panel of judges from the fields of Art, Entertainment, Media and other Prominent Personalities from public domain
9. Decision of Panel of Judges will be final and no communication challenging the same will be entertained
10. Art Work once sent to organisers, will be owned by organizers of Art Olympiad TM along with all copyright relating thereto.
11. Organizers of Art Olympiad TM are under no obligation to return the Art Work under any circumstance.
12. Organizers of Art Olympiad are free to publicize, promote, sell the Art Work or enter into commercial arrangements to merchandize the same. Separate agreement will be entered with the Artist for the same.
13. Parents/Guardians of Art Olympiad TM participants have to agree to the Terms and Conditions by signing acceptance below.
14. Failure to do so will result in Art entries being rejected with no obligation to return the Art Work.
